Various conditions determine which runways are used, such as the weather, air traffic and runway availability.
These pages explain how LVNL manages air traffic safely and efficiently, while minimising its impact.
Safety is our top priority. We ensure that you, as an aircraft operator, can prepare your flight with correct, up-to-date information, and request special flights and events.
Our core task is to ensure that air traffic in the Netherlands is handled safely.
The current air traffic control system is LVNL's most important operational information system. With the arrival of iCAS, we are constructing a new system that will make flying more efficient and safer in the future.
In order to achieve the ambitions of the Dutch aviation sector and LVNL, it is necessary to ensure a robust availability of sufficient air traffic controllers.
LVNL and the military air traffic controllers of the Royal Netherlands Air Force are joining forces. Together, we are combining our professionalism, knowledge and expertise to offer the best of both worlds.
