Lagging safety indicators

Lagging safety indicators are measured after the operations have taken place. Usually they are reported by controllers, such as a runway incursion, but they can also be measured by our radar systems, such as a separation loss between aircraft.

An enormous amount of safety parameters are available to us to assess the safety level of our operations. These are the typical Air Traffic Control related most important parameters like losses of separation, runway incursions and airspace infringements. But also the direction of driving of the bird controller, runway crossings at critical locations, number of go-arounds, interception above flight path, and many more.
