Core task
LVNL's core task is to provide air traffic services. Safety is a prime prerequisite for this. Safety management is about minimizing the risks when handling air traffic in Dutch airspace.
Preventing collisions
Air Traffic Control safety means preventing collisions in the air as well as on the ground. We are proud that we manage air safety in such a way that safety is assured to an acceptable level.
All occurrences are reported for the purpose of learning from them and reducing the risk of such occurrences in the future.
The operation must be designed as sufficiently safe, after which it is also optimised in terms of efficiency and the environment. This is in the fabric of our organization, from the executive board to the air traffic controllers and the supporting departments. LVNL is continuously working to further improve the safety level wherever realistically possible.
