LVNL ensures the safe guidance of air traffic 24/7. This is both our licence to operate and our legal duty. At the same time, we are aware of the diverse interests in the local community and, where possible, we are committed to reducing noise nuisance from air traffic in the surrounding area.
Air traffic is something everyone in the Netherlands experiences at some point. This could be when you go on holiday by aircraft or when you experience nuisance from aircraft landing or taking off in your neighbourhood or workplace. LVNL ensures that air traffic in the Netherlands is always managed safely, both in the air and on the ground. We manage this efficiently to enable airlines to fly their scheduled flights on time.
LVNL manages air traffic safely in Dutch airspace 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

How air traffic control works
BAS is the information desk and reporting centre for nuisance reports about air traffic around Schiphol.
While most aircraft in Dutch airspace arrive at or depart from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, you may also experience air traffic from another airport.
