What data do we collect?
When you apply via our online application form, we collect the following data:
• Gender
• First and last name
• Address details
• Telephone number
• Email address
• Date of birth
• Educational background and/or your curriculum vitae.
Possibly also your cover letter.
If you would like to be informed about new vacancies via a vacancy alert, we collect the following data:
• E-mail address
• Job category/interest
If you submit a complaint or request to LVNL, we may collect the following data:
• Name
• And/or address details
• E-mail address
• Date of birth
• Telephone number
• Copy of passport
For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data?
• To assess and process your application
• To contact you about your application
• To inform you about new vacancies
• To process your complaint or request
• To answer your questions or handle your requests or complaints by e-mail, post or telephone
• to verify your identity when exercising your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation
• for recruitment purposes
We process your application data on the basis of your consent. You give us your consent by completing the online application form and agreeing to the processing of your personal data.
We process your data to inform you about new vacancies based on your consent. You give us your consent by setting up a job alert yourself. You can also easily withdraw this consent yourself.
We process your data when you submit complaints and requests based on the legal obligation to handle these complaints and requests.
How long will my personal data be stored?
If you have applied for an air traffic control position with us, it is not possible to delete your data yourself because you are either in our selection process or have joined our organisation. In addition, selection data of candidates is stored for research purposes for six years, unless an objection is made in writing.
For other positions at LVNL that you have applied for, we apply a retention period of 90 days.
The data used to inform you about vacancies will be retained for as long as your vacancy alert is active. After you unsubscribe, your data will be deleted at the end of the day.
We apply a retention period of seven years for the handling of complaints and requests.
Will my data be shared with third parties?
It is good to know that when you apply for a job, we do not provide or sell your personal data to third parties. The personal data you enter via this website is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. LVNL does use third-party services to process data on behalf of LVNL. LVNL has concluded processing agreements with these service providers.
Questions and reports to LVNL – regarding aircraft noise or air traffic control – can be forwarded, together with your contact details, to the relevant airport's reporting centre for a response. For Schiphol Airport, this is the Bewoners Aanspreekpunt Schiphol (BAS).

Is my personal data protected?
We value your privacy. That is why we have taken security measures to prevent theft, loss or other unlawful use of your personal data. The exchange of information with our website is secure and encrypted.
Where can I submit a request to view, correct or delete my personal data?
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by LVNL, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send your personal data that we have in a computer file to you or another organisation specified by you.
