IFR flights to and from Lelystad Airport

OPENING HOURS LELYSTAD AIRPORT FOR IFR FLIGHTS

From Monday to Friday between 0900 and 1700 LT you may depart IFR from or land at Lelystad Airport. You must request this at least 24 hours in advance via [email protected]. Always check the NOTAM that has been published about this, to make sure you have the most recent information.

Outside the above times, you may only fly with a VFR, Y, or Z flight plan. Y and Z flight plans must meet certain conditions. You will find those conditions in section AD EHLE 2.23 'Additional information' in the AIP.

PLAN FLIGHT AND SUBMIT FLIGHT PLAN

You plan your flight with the LARSA app (Lelystad Airport Runway Scheduling App).

You then submit your flight plan at least 3 hours before EOBT (as stated in section ENR 1.10 in the AIP). You can submit your flight plan via Homebriefing.

NO COMMERCIAL FLY PERMITTED

The Dutch government does not yet allow commercial air traffic at Lelystad Airport. Therefore, the IFR departure and approach routes are only available for business aviation and general aviation (see also the section AD EHLE AD 2.20 'Local aerodrome regulations' in the AIP).

You can read about the timing and conditions for the government decision on Lelystad Airport on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
