Parachute jumping

If you want to use a parachute jumping area incidentally, this must be announced via a NOTAM.

PARACHUTE JUMPS IN CIVIL AIRSPACE

If the target area is in civil airspace, the following procedure applies:

  1. Fill in the application form.
  2. Mail the form to the Operational Helpdesk no later than five days before the planned jump.
  3. The Operational Helpdesk assesses the request. It is possible that the parachute jump takes place at a location or from an altitude that conflicts with air traffic flows. In this case, it is examined whether the jump from a lower height is possible. The Operational Helpdesk will then contact you.
  4. After issuing the NOTAM, the Operational Helpdesk will send you the NOTAM number.
  5. The captain must obtain provisional clearance from all relevant air traffic control authorities before the start of the flight.
  6. The captain must request permission from the air traffic controller shortly before the jump. Only after this permission can the parachute jump take place.

PARACHUTE JUMPS IN MILITARY AIRSPACE

If the target area is in military airspace, you can contact the military AIS on telephone number +31 (0)577 458 327 to issue the NOTAM.
