Due to operational capacity limits, VFR flights without an operational necessity are strongly urged to avoid the Schiphol CTR. Air traffic control determines whether VFR traffic is granted access to the CTR, depending on the circumstances and workload.
VFR flights with an operational necessity must be requested via the Operational Helpdesk in accordance with the standard procedure. This procedure is described in the AIP Netherlands, section ENR 1.2, paragraph 3.2.4 – Co-ordination of flights with a specific character.
