On 1 May 2021, Michiel van Dorst will be appointed CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Air Traffic Control the Netherlands (LVNL) for a second five-year term. Cora van Nieuwenhuizen, Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, has approved his reappointment as recommended by the LVNL Supervisory Board. Van Dorst commenced his first five-year period as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board in 2016.

In addition to being CEO and chairman of the Executive Committee, Michiel van Dorst (1969) is vice-chairman of the European CEO Committee at the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO). Prior to joining LVNL, he worked at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for more than 23 years.
