Innovation Labs (iLabs) is a recent initiative between the Delft University of Technology and LVNL, based at LVNL in Schiphol-Oost. iLabs is an environment focused on accelerating innovation in the ATM domain. Here, the latest concepts from TU Delft and industry are made available to Air Traffic Controllers for demonstration and development purposes, aiming to become the gateway from research to active operation. Royal Schiphol Group and KLM have indicated to be interested to join iLabs and are currently taking steps to set-up pooling of their operational data at iLabs, leading the way to more developments on the mainport side. The main developments at iLabs are performed by motivated students via internships.
