Keep flight plan up to date for alerting service

KEEPING YOUR FLIGHT PLAN CURRENT

For the correct use of the alerting service, we ask you as a pilot to correctly address your flight plan and keep it up to date.

In this way, search and rescue is only used if an aircraft is really in distress. The address EHAAZZXX is published in the AIP for flight plans with a destination for which no location indicator is available.

CLOSING FLIGHT PLAN AFTER LANDING

In addition, we would like to point out that you must close the flight plan after landing, in accordance with SERA.4020 and as described in the AIP ENR 1-10 'Flight planning'.

If the flight plan has not been closed, an alerting service may be incorrectly initiated. Search and rescue is started if an aircraft has not been reported as having landed 30 minutes after the ETA.

USING HOMEBRIEFING

Homebriefing makes submitting, updating, and closing a flight plan easy.
