Before the start of the drone activity, the observer (responsible for radiocommunication with TWR) calls Delivery via the radio on the delivery frequency.
After the radiocheck, the observer is instructed by Delivery to change to the TWR frequency.

Request clearance
The observer requests the required clearance from the TWR controller.

The clearance is given, based on the actual traffic situation in the control zone (CTR). The clearance approves the execution of the flight, in accordance with the flight plan, and possible additional conditions.
After the clearance has been received, all consecutive flights within the same flight area can be executed, without further communication with TWR, until all planned flights are completed, or the clearance is withdrawn by the TWR controller.
Information during the flight
The radio, as well as the assigned telephone of the observer, shall be monitored throughout the entire flight period for traffic information, possible instructions and information of alterations or withdrawal of the clearance.

Completion of the flight
After completion of the flight or series of flights at the designated location, the observer informs the TWR controller via radio that the flight has been completed, and no more flights will be conducted at the designated location in the planned time slot.
After this message is received and acknowledged by the TWR controller, the observer can switch off from the TWR frequency.
