This page informs you about IFR flights to and from Lelystad Airport. Currently, the Dutch government has yet to decide whether commercial flights to Lelystad Airport will be allowed in the future. Therefore, IFR arrival and departure routes are only available for business aviation and general aviation.
You may find information in Dutch about this decision at this website of the Ministery of Infrastructre and Water Management.
IFR arrivals and departures are allowed Monday through Friday between 0900 and 1700 LT. Prior permission is required, and you need to request an IFR departure or arrival at least 24 hours in advance via operations@lelystadairport.nl. Please make sure to read the NOTAM about the operational hours, to be sure you have the latest information available.
Outside the opening hours for IFR flights, you may only conduct a VFR, Y or Z flight. The conditions for Y and Z flight plans are explained in section AD EHLE 2.23 ‘Additional information’ of the AIP.
The app LARSA (Lelystad Airport Runway Scheduling App) enables you to plan your flight. After planning in LARSA, you file your flight plan at least 3 hours before EOBT, as described in section ENR 1.10 Flight planning of the AIP. The Homebriefing website offers flight plan filing service.
Section AD EHLE 2.24 ‘Charts related to an aerodrome’ and supplement 03/2022 of the AIP provide you with operational information on the airspace surrounding Lelystad Airport.
