The procedure for parallel approaches at Schiphol to the 36C and 36R runways has changed as of November 10, 2016 to enhance safety.When these runways are used in parallel, the interception altitude of the ILS for the 36C runway is doubled from 2000 feet to 4000 feet and the interception altitude for the 36R runway remains unchanged at 3000 feet. The interception distance to the runway has been increased. For runway 36R from 12 to 15 nautical miles and for runway 36C from 13 to 15 nautical miles. If the runways are not used simultaneously, the usual ILS interception altitude of 2000 feet and the interception distance of 8 nautical miles apply.
