The air traffic control of Groningen Airport Eelde and Maastricht Aachen Airport is moving to Schiphol East. LVNL uses the remote tower technology for this. This means that the air traffic controllers will guide the arriving and departing air traffic at these airports from the remote tower center at Schiphol Oost. LVNL is doing this in order to be able to provide these airports with efficient and innovative services in the coming years. The innovation of a remote tower technology guarantees the ability to continue to carry out air traffic control and a reduction in costs in the long term.
