The world of aviation is changing. There is increasing pressure to reduce noise and CO2 and to further improve safety. In the meantime, forecasts are revealing a growing need for our services. Against this tense backdrop, LVNL (Air Traffic Control the Netherlands) will need to work with all of its chain partners in thinking about solutions.
Some of these solutions are technical in nature: modifications to airspace and more predictable operations enable us to eradicate the negative effects. But it is also about the way we work: placing greater emphasis on staff development and community relations. This can be achieved by collaborating even more intensively with chain partners and adopting an integrated approach to safety.
In the Corporate Vision and Strategy 2020-2024, we describe the trends and developments in aviation and how LVNL intends to respond. We have based this around four key themes. For each of these themes, we have outlined what we can see happening, what we aim to achieve and how we will go about realising it.
We have already made great progress in achieving our objectives. However, we still have a lot of work to do. Let there be no doubt that we look forward with confidence to the result – becoming the world’s best air traffic control organisation in terms of safety, people and delivery reliability.
